Karas Region

Zannier Hotels Sonop is located within a nature reserve on the Southern edge of the Namibian desert, in the Karas region. The camp has its own private airstrip, allowing guests to access the lodge from any African airport with small planes.

Expedition-style Grandeur

Our one- and two-bedroom tented suites embrace views of the untamed desert, each featuring a partially-walled bathroom, vintage bathtub and private terrace. With a roll-up canvas and private terrace ensuring panoramic views and separate adventurers-styled lounge, our one-bedroom tents are perfect for couples or young families. The spacious lounge and large terrace in our two-bedroom tents are perfect to plan the day’s adventures or stargazing at night; ideal for larger families or couples travelling together.

BACK-TO-NATURE WELLBEING

PREPARE TO BE SURPRISED

Our guided excursions include horse-riding, electric fat bike or walking trails, hot air balloon safari and private sunrise or sunset safaris. After dark, the magic continues with an open-air cinema and stargazing under the endless African skies. Guest can choose to wake-up with a desert yoga experience, where an experienced teacher will guide guests of all levels. At any time of the day, guests can decide to explore the desert by foot, electric bike, or horseback, accompanied by our experienced guides who will provide unique insights on the local wildlife. Night walks are also available upon request. Zannier Hotels Sonop is equipped with its own stables, where experienced riders offer guests the opportunity to learn horseback riding, as well as ride into the desert to explore the scenic surroundings.
