A Unique Lodge At The Heart Of A Forest
Trackers Safari Lodge is located in Buhoma Sector of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park which is one of Africa’s most diverse forests formed as a part of a much larger forest belt that stretched south to the slopes of the Virunga Mountains until about 500 years ago when agriculturalists encroached on the forest and started planting food. Set on an altitude of 1500m just five minutes’ drive from the park Headquarters Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park is home to at least 120 mammal species including its famous residents – the Mountain Gorillas.
Bwindi National Park
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (Bwindi Forest National park) is a typical tropical rain forest with an annual mean temperature range of a minimum of 7–15°C to a maximum of 20–27°C. Its annual rainfall ranges from 1,400 to 1,900 millimeters. The heavy rains climax from March to April and from September to November. Bwindi Impenetrable forest became popular to the world because of Gorilla trekking! It is a habitat for more than half of the world’s remaining Mountain Gorilla population.
