Trackers Safari Lodge is located in Buhoma Sector of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park which is one of Africa’s most diverse forests formed as a part of a much larger forest belt that stretched south to the slopes of the Virunga Mountains until about 500 years ago when agriculturalists encroached on the forest and started planting food. Set on an altitude of 1500m just five minutes’ drive from the park Headquarters Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park is home to at least 120 mammal species including its famous residents – the Mountain Gorillas.

Our standard chalets are a breath of fresh air. They are large and airy with just enough amenities to let you get lost in your new world and completely make you feel at home. The chalet has is en-suite and had one King sized bed. The twin chalet has two beds to allow you stay with your travel companion and relieve the memories of the day. The private expansive balcony faces the forest giving you a the feel of being in the middle of African jungle.

Gorilla tracking officially started in October 1993 with Mubare as the first habituated group in Buhoma sector.
