A CHARMING OASIS
The River Club is a refined Edwardian-style lodge situated on the Zambian banks of the Zambezi River upstream from thundering Victoria Falls. A converted farmhouse, The River Club is set in beautifully manicured gardens that run down to the river’s edge.
Watch an African sunset over the Zambezi River from The River Club’s main verandah or enjoy a sundowner river cruise. Daily tours of Victoria Falls are offered as are game drives in the small but rewarding Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park, cultural village visits and fishing trips. Alternatively, simply laze by the infinity pool, enjoy the view and don’t lift a finger.
Victoria Falls
Victoria Falls is part of the mighty Zambezi River, which forms the border between Zimbabwe and Zambia. High-water season is from about February to July – expect the most spectacular views of the Falls and prepare to get a little wet. Low-water season is from about August to January – this is the best time for activities like white-water rafting and swimming in Devil’s Pool.
