Ngorongoro Conservation Area

The Ngorongoro Crater was created when a meteor struck earth millennia ago. It remains the only intact caldera on earth today whose walls harbour a plethora of wildlife thanks to the natural water sources and abundance of food on offer. On morning and evening game drives in the crater, guests can expect to see wildebeest, hippo, elephant, lion, cheetah, and leopard among others.

They have double beds, en-suite bathrooms and indoor camp showers and the modern conveniences of plug points and hairdryers. Game drives are conducted in closed 4×4 safari vehicles. Ngorongoro Crater is home to a wide variety of wildlife including zebra, wildebeest, rhino and hippo. This region is also known for its predator sightings with a good chance of seeing lion, hyena, cheetah and even the elusive leopard. As well as the crater, you have the option of a game drive in Lake Manyara National Park, and visiting a nearby Maasai village.
