Linkwasha Camp is considered one of Zimbabwe’s best, with outstanding service, location and design. The elegant Linkwasha Camp is nestled on a private concession in the south-east of the beautiful Hwange National Park. A combination of contemporary and classic safari-style decor adorns the camp’s eight luxury ensuite tents and one family tent, all of which overlook a popular waterhole.

The main guest areas provide uninterrupted views of a flourishing pan and include multi-level decks, perfect for game viewing in between daily adventures, as well as a library, sitting and dining area and a sparkling swimming pool. The camp offers an assortment of safari activities such as morning and evening game drives, interpretive walking safaris, birdwatching and cultural visits.

Join the ever-changing wildlife parade on the Ngamo Plains, dotted with vleis and ilala palms. On a guided walk or game drive, find uncountable dust-kicking buffalos; some of the 40 000 local elephants; herd after antelope herd, with predators like lions, cheetahs, or African painted dogs in their wake; the more elusive pangolins, caracals, lesser bushbabies, and honey badgers; more than 400 bird species, including raptors, which fill the skies once the rains start.

Each of the eight oversized tents is eclectic and elegant in its approach, maximizing privacy while maintaining a sense of openness. This is especially felt in the open-air showers, private verandas, and king-size beds facing glass sliding doors, all of which provide uncanny views of the constantly active waterhole outside.

The camp lies within Hwange National Park’s prolific Linkwasha Concession and guests have access to the Ngamo Plains, which come alive during the Green Season. In addition to visits to the nearby community and lessons on conservation from the resident ecologist, you can also spend an evening under the stars on the protected sleep-out platform – one of the best ways to experience the sights and sounds of the African night!
