Kalahari Desert

The Kalahari Desert is a large semi-arid sandy savannah in Southern Africa extending for 900,000 square kilometres (350,000 sq mi), covering much of Botswana, parts of Namibia, and regions of South Africa. With huge tracts of excellent grazing after good rains, the Kalahari supports more animals and plants than a true desert, such as the Namib Desert to the west. There are small amounts of rainfall and the summer temperature is very high. Feline Fields by Mantis is located North-West of Botswana, between the Okavango Delta and the Namibian border.

The Suites at Feline Fields by Mantis are positioned on the edge of a woodland and designed to fit into, conserve, and give you unlimited views of the surrounding landscape. Spaced out to give each guest privacy, the Suites are designed on a 1,000 square-foot, raised wooden deck made from sustainably sourced hardwood. Wood, clay and thatch open-air structures that are cleverly designed to protect guests from the elements.
