Epako Private Game Reserve - Omaruru

Epako is located north west of Windhoek, close to Omaruru. The international airport of Windhoek is just about a 3.5 hour drive away. Epako can also be reached by private charter. Omaruru is a small, friendly village about 30 km from Epako. The most famous source of diamonds on the planet – stretches for 1000 miles along the west coast, with its spectacular, haunting atmosphere and its towering dunes plunging into the Atlantic from heights of 300 metres.

Epako Safari Lodge is nestled amongst scenic mountains, overlooking the ephemeral Epako River. The lodge is surrounded by 11,000 hectares of dense African bush, harboring a rich diversity of wildlife and bird species. Game drives in open 4×4 vehicles, bush walks and scenic sundowners at view points. In old days San bushmen lived in this area and some old bushman paintings and rock engravings can still be found.
