Graaff-Reinet is an incredible town in the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa. It is the oldest town in the province and has a rich history that dates back to the late 18th century when it was the centre of a short-lived republic. Today, Graaff-Reinet is home to more national monuments than any other town or city in South Africa. It is also a thriving market for agricultural produce, particularly its mohair industry, sheep and ostrich farming. This makes it a great destination for both tourists and locals alike, who can enjoy its rich history and unique culture.

Drostdy Hotel comprises 48 luxurious rooms, which have been decorated with bold Karoo art and decor reminiscent of a bygone era. Stretch’s Court includes 31 of these rooms, the Ferreira Precinct hosts seven and Kromm’s Court, 10. Selected rooms have private verandahs. Our hotel is also dog-friendly.

This reserve forms part of the Greater Limpopo Transfrontier Park, a growing area that currently covers six million acres and incorporates the famous Kruger National Park. Wild animals move freely across this vast space, offering spectacular game viewing and a true wilderness experience.
