Desroches Island

Desroches forms part of the Amirantes group of islands – a remote coral atoll approximately 230 km southwest of Mahé in the Seychelles. Strewn with coconut trees, Desroches Island is approximately 6 km long, 1 km wide and boasts 14 km of immaculate white, soft, sandy beaches and crystal blue waters. Desroches is small enough to allow for the ultimate feeling of seclusion, yet big enough to ensure that any outdoor enthusiast is spoilt for choice by the many different hidden beaches.

You are allocated a bicycle on arrival at the resort, setting the tone for the vacation. There is plenty of opportunity to relax and unwind – hammocks slung between palm trees, a wellness spa, movie nights with popcorn – as well as more than enough for the active minded. This is a famous destination for scuba divers – there are 14 world-class dive sites around the island – and those who love to get their feet wet: snorkellers, stand-up paddle boarders and kayakers.
