While gorilla trekking is the main attraction, and deservedly so, chimpanzee trekking, forest walks, cultural interactions with local communities and bird watching are also on offer in this natural wonderland.

UNINTERRUPTED VIEWS

Our ten comfortable chalets have been individually designed and carefully built using locally sourced materials wherever possible, without compromising levels of comfort. Each of your own private verandas allows wonderful views and vistas of the forest canopy of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. Inside the spacious chalets you will find large, comfortable beds and everything you need to make yourself at home. The well-appointed and roomy en-suite bathroom with flush toilet contains a rain shower with a copious supply of hot water and equipped with locally produced natural ranges of complementary bathroom amenities. Some chalets also offer a bath-tub for relaxation and enjoyment after the day’s activities.

AMAZING FOREST WALKS

 This can be undertaken with a Uganda Wildlife Authority guide to allow you to hike along the trails and enjoy the forest flora, fauna and wildlife such as monkeys at close proximity. A popular choice is the 3-4 hour hike to the waterfall. This can be done around the lodge and walks in the forest with local qualified guides. This forest area has recorded over 350 bird species. Of particular interest are the 23 species endemic to the Albertine Rift and at least 14 recorded nowhere else in Uganda
